Kathleen (Kay) Whelan, Mansfield Grove, Athy, Co. Kildare. Passed away unexpectedly on the 27th October 2025 in Naas General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Martin, sisters and brothers. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her loving husband Tom, son and daughters, Caroline (Mullarkey), Thomas (Whelan) and Ciara (Fennin), grandchildren Clare, Ian, Laura, Colin, Gillian, Jenny, Joseph, Rachel, David and James, great grandchildren Bernard, Páidí and Ollie, sons and daughter-in -law, Sean, Carmel and Michael, sisters Anne and Carmel, brother Pat, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, extended family and wide circle of friends.

Kathleen will repose at home on Wednesday 29th October 2025 at her home Mansfield Grove from 12pm to 6pm. Removal afterwards to Thompson’s Funeral Home from 6.30pm until the conclusion of prayers at 8.30pm. Removal from Thompson Funeral Home Thursday afternoon to St. Michael’s Parish, Athy, for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Followed by burial in St. Michael’s New Cemetery, Athy.
