It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Robert Sampson, Duntryleague, Galbally, Co. Limerick., who passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, 21st December 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Simon and Kathleen, brother Billy, and infant sister Geraldine.

Beloved husband of Mary Rose (née Prendergast) and dear dad to Robert and Grace. Sadly missed by his loving wife and children, brothers and sisters Michael and his wife Ola (Arizona), Rosemary and her partner Michael (South Africa), Kathleen and her husband John (Ballylanders), Helen and her husband Peter (UK),  Patricia and her husband Paddy (Ballylanders), sister-in-law Anne and her husband Tom, brothers-in-law Joe and his wife Esther, Edmond and his wife Trish, and James Prendergast, large circle of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends.

Lying in repose in the Chapel of Peace, Fraser’s Funeral Home, Galbally E34 AE22 on Friday (St Stephen’s Day) from 3 to 5pm followed by removal to Church of the Christ the King, Galbally.

Requiem Mass on Saturday December 27th at 11.30am followed by burial in the local cemetery.
