The death has occurred of Mary Hanly, Cordrehid, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon and formerly of Trien, Castlerea. 

 

Mary passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the care of North West Hospice, Sligo on Wednesday 14th January 2026.

Predeceased by her Parents Kathleen and John and her beloved son Ronan.

Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Mark, Daughters Rosaleen (O’Dowd) and Martina, Sons Coman and Michael, son-in-law Damien, daughter-in-laws Noreen and Edel, Martina’s partner Joe, Her adored grandchildren Chloe, Natasha, Fiachra, Rossa, Liam, Saoirse, Ciara, Ella, Ailbhe, Niamh, Aine, Leo and Croía.

Her sister Margaret Duffy (Keash), brother Tom  Bermingham (Castlerea), sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at the residence of her son Coman and daughter-in-law Noreen, Cordrehid, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon (N41TK30) on Friday 16th January from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral will arrive at St Michael’s Church Drumlion for requiem Mass on Saturday 17th January at 12noon followed by burial immediately afterwards to Drumlion Cemetery.
