Claire died on February 20th 2026, peacefully with her family, in the kind and loving care of the staff at Ferbane Nursing Home. She was late of Templetown, Cooley, Co. Louth and was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael, parents Henry and Mary Kate Murphy, sisters, Catherine, Teresa (Teasie), Alice, Vera, and Rosaleen, brothers John and Peadar.

Claire will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving sons Niall and Declan, granddaughter Anastasia, daughter-in-law Lelia, sisters-in-law Mary and Sr. Bridget (St. Joseph of Cluny),nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, especially Mary Grace.

Claire will repose at Grennan’s Funeral Home, Ferbane (R42 HW25) on Monday (Feb. 23rd) from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Claire’s Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (Feb. 24th) in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ferbane at 11am, and may be viewed on http://ferbaneparish.ie , Claire will be laid to rest afterwards in Kilrehan Cemetery.
