Mairead Fanning ( nee Smaul ) Skerries, Co. Dublin and formerly from Drimnagh, Co. Dublin and Waterford City passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of her daughter Clodagh holding her hand and St Francis Hospice Community Care after a year long illness on 24th March 2026

Predeceased by her loving husband Richard ( Dick ) Fanning , her parents William and Aileen Smaul and sister Grainne.

In accordance with Maireads wishes a private funeral has taken place. 

Mairead will be sadly missed by her family and friends
