Kevin Whelehan, An Cuan, Prospect, Maree, Oranmore, Co Galway. Formerly of Howth, Dublin. 22nd July 2025.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Collette.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Kevin at his home in Prospect, Maree surrounded by his loving family after a long illness bravely fought with dignity and class and in his way.
Dearly beloved husband of Rosie and much loved father of Lara, Evie, Jodie May and Molly and his beloved Pip.
Kevin will be deeply missed by his brother Sean, sisters Ann, Mary, Kathleen, Michaelena and Collette sister in law Caitriona, brothers in law Austin (RIP) Mick, Tommy and Liam.
Kevin will be sadly missed by his extended family Colette, David, Brendan, Patricia and all his nieces, nephews, and relatives who he was so proud of and loved dearly. Also his Diageo Guinness family and his many friends far and wide.
Kevin Whelehan was the type of man to enter a room of strangers and leave a room of friends. He had a profound effect on everyone he met and would work miracles to help others. His wisdom, kindness, and consideration will live on eternally in those who had the privilege of surrounding him. Always a chancer, and forever an inspiration.

Reposing at Maree Pastoral Centre on the Grounds of St Joseph’s Church Maree (H91KOY9) on Thursday 24th July from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral on Friday 25th July at 12 noon in St Joseph’s Church Maree. Burial afterwards in Renville Cemetery. Donations if desired to Cancer Care West.
