The death has occurred of Peter Wakely, Turner’s Hill, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, 28th May 2026.

Predeceased by his parents, his brothers Pat, Mattie, Benny and Thomas, and his sisters Maggie, Eileen and Bridie.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Pauline, his son Joseph (Trish), his daughters Colette Curtis (Gerry) and Terene Carey (John), his cherished grandchildren Aoife (Richie), Ciara (Paul), Ryan (Nadine), Christine (Daniel), Shaun, Dara, Peter and Robbie, his great-grandson Brían, his brother Martin (Margaret), his sisters Ann Finn and Mary Caffrey (Paddy), his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, A82 R3W2, on Saturday, 30th May, from 5pm to 7pm.

Removal from his home on Sunday morning, 31st May, to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, for 12 noon Funeral Mass, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
