Fikadu Woldemechael

August 4, 2025 – Peacefully at Loughlinstown Hospital

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fikadu Woldemechael, who left us peacefully on August 4, 2025, at Loughlinstown Hospital. Fikadu’s warmth, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted daughter Maria, her mother Catherine, his cherished granddaughter Monique, grandson Joshua, and his dear son-in-law David. Fikadu is also mourned by his extended family, friends, loyal neighbours, and his faithful four-legged companion Pablo, who was a true companion through thick and thin.

Fikadu’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and compassion, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.

May Fikadu Rest In Peace.

Reposing:
Fikadu will repose at his daughter’s home (D01 H1W2) on Sunday from 3 pm. His family invites friends and loved ones to join them in prayer and reflection at 6 pm on Sunday evening and 6 pm on Monday evening.

Funeral Mass:
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Fikadu’s life will be held on Tuesday morning at 11 am at the Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Seville Place, followed by a cremation service at Glasnevin Crematorium.

Fikadu’s spirit will live on, and he will forever remain in our hearts.
