Fr. Willie Storan
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Fr. Willie Storan
of the diocese of Sacramento, California.
and late of Morenane, Croom, Co. Limerick.
Peacefully on February 11th in California, in his 90th year after a brief illness borne with acceptance and humour.
Predeceased by his parents Kathleen & Thomas, his brothers John & Michael, his sisters Nora and Joan (Cullinane – Clarson)
Deeply regretted by his brother Tom and sister, Sr. Kathleen, sisters in law Mary & Ann, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and great grandnieces.
Sadly missed by his extended family, his fellow priests, parishioners and many friends in the U.S.A and Ireland

Messages of Condolence
Fr Willie was our pastor at St Basil the Great Roman Catholic Church in Vallejo, California from 1986 to 2001. It was one of Fr Willie's stewardship homilies that was responsible for my involvement at St Basil's: member & officer of our Society of St Vincent de Paul conference, lector, extraordinary minister & later as a pastoral council member. He will always be my favorite pastor. My sincere condolences to Fr Willie's family and friends and may Fr Willie rest in peace.

My condolences to Fr. Storans family. Father was the main reason my children were allowed to attend St Basils. I was very grateful for his help in that matter. We enjoyed his company when he came over several times for family dinners. After the paradise fire I lost contact with him and when I was told he was in the hospital in December I called the hospital and left a message , unfortunately we never made contact before he passed .
