On July 28th, 2025 peacefully at Cork University Hospital surrounded by his family,  James (Jimmy), beloved son of the late Hannah and Lawrence Carey, dear father of the late Mary and brother to all his deceased siblings. 

Jimmy will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Chrissie (nee Curry), son Jim, daughters Joan (Ryan), Margaret (Brosnan), Liz (Cody), Helen (Lawton), Christine (Hegarty), Ann (Dennehy) and Teresa (Caplice), grandchildren Patrick, Lisa, Shane, Natasha, Amanda, Shannon, Jade, Kellie, Gary, Danielle, Robyn, Leah, Moira, Barry, Chloe, Taylor and Joey, great-grandchildren Ryan, Max, Nancy, Paddy, Luke, Aaron and Charlie, sons in law Pat Ryan, Pat Brosnan, Ger Cody, Pat Lawton, Edward Hegarty, Barry Dennehy and Joe Caplice, Ann’s partner Kevin Reilly and Jim’s partner Lisa Rooney, sisters in law, brother in law, his great friend Thomas O’Callaghan, his relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Kilbehenny (Eircode P67 PK74) on Wednesday July 30th from 6pm to 8pm. Arriving to Kilbehenny Church for requiem Mass on Thursday 31st July  at 11.30 am. Burial afterwards in the cemetery adjoining Mitchelstown Parish Church. Mass will be live streamed on http://www.churchcamlive.ie/KilbehennyAnglesborough
