John Whelan
John passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at St Aidan’s Ward, Wexford General Hospital, in his 96th year. Son of the late Murtha and Mary. Beloved husband of Peg, much loved father of Joseph, Patrick, Sean, Kieran and Colin, brother of Willie and the late Theresa (Cooney), Martha (Laffan) and Joseph. He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, brother, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Hammel’s Funeral Home, Kilmuckridge (Y25 C9T3) today (Tues 22nd July) from 4pm, followed by removal at 7.30pm to St Moling’s Church, Monamolin (via his residence) arriving for Reception Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12noon, followed by interment in Monamolin Cemetery.
