Margaret Sheehan (née McCarthy)
It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Margaret Sheehan, Douglas, Cork, late of Macroom, who passed away on the 4th of October 2025, peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at St Finbarr’s Hospital.
Margaret (née McCarthy). Wife of Edward, adored mother of John, Eugene and Mary (Doran). Daughter of the late Nora and Eugene McCarthy (Macroom) and sister-in-law to the late Norma and Séan.
Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren, Jack, Adam, Aimee, Ellie, Séan, Billy and Bobby, daughter-in-law Sarah, son-in-law Gavan, brothers Barry, Patrick, Denis, sisters-in-law Sheila, Patty, Frances, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
May Margaret’s Soul Rest in Peace
Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Road, Mayfield, Cork (T23 D778) on Thursday, the 9th of October, from 6-7pm, with prayers at 6:45pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, the 10th of October at 11:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, Rochestown, Cork (T12 NM01), Cremation will take place privately in The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.
The family would like to thank Doctors, nurses, and hospital staff both in the CUH and St Oliver’s Ward Respite for their kindness and exceptional care shown to Margaret during her illness.
