Michèle Whelan (née Clarke) of Rocky Valley Drive, Glencormac, Co. Wicklow, passed away very peacefully on 8th January 2026, after a short illness, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, in the loving care of her family. Darling wife and much beloved soulmate of Brian, wonderful Mammy of Benedict, Jennifer and Nicholas, cherished Granny of Sophia and Zoe; Luka and Grace; and Sebastian, lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Caroline, son-in-law Jesse, sisters Ann and Sunniva, sisters-in-law Maureen (Duggan), Irene (McHugh) and Pauline (Leahy). Predeceased by her brother Michael and brother-in-law Dermot.

Michèle was deeply loved by everyone she met, especially her close friends and extended family. 

Reposing in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Thursday (15th January) from 4.00pm-6.00pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of Michèle’s life will take place on Friday (16th January) at 2.30pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W.
