On 7th March 2026 peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Cork University Hospital, Richard (Richie), Abbey Heights, Skibbereen and formerly of Lissangle, Caheragh. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Margaret, brother Samuel, sister Jennifer Burchill and her husband William and his dear partner Mary.

Sadly missed by his adoring sister Lily Patterson, her husband Edwin, nieces, nephews and their spouses, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, his wide circle of loyal and caring friends and the Barry family whose kindness, love and support meant so much to Richard.
